The Dungeoning Review

The Dungeoning is an action platformer with rpg-like character progression. It's a fairly simply game, yet difficult at the same time. The game is meant to be played in a single sitting, and death is permanent. Thankfully everything changes itself up every time you die, as the dungeons are randomly generated. The objective of the game is to reach the end of the dungeon and find the artifact located there.

Space Hulk Review

Space Hulk is a game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, based on a board game of the same name. If Full Control's aim was to re-create the board game in video game format, they definitely achieved it. It has the feel of a board game, with the look of a video game.

Skulls of the Shogun Review

Skulls of the Shogun is an strategy indie game developed by 17-BIT. Originally a Windows 8 and XBLA exclusive, the game is now being made available to PCs all of kinds through Steam. Along with this comes a greatly expanded version of the game, extending the campaign by 4 levels and adding 6 new multiplayer arenas. This quirky and comedic game about the afterlife of samurai is simple and complex at the same time.

Shadowrun Returns Review

Shadowrun Returns is a new game in a series of games that has had a great cult following for many years, a series with games that keep being held in high regard with the passage of time. It's one of the few series where more people continue to become enthralled by the games, even as newer games come out and generations pass by. With this new entry in the series, we see a modern game with the same greatness of the earlier Shadowrun games.

Storm Review

Storm, an indie game developed by Eko Software, is a puzzle solving game utilizing the elements of nature. This relaxing game will have you enjoying yourself with various ways of using the elements to spread trees across many levels.

Storm is a game that will make you feel relaxed. The music really helps build the atmosphere and mood, and the artistic visuals make you feel at peace. The puzzles won't leave you frustrated for long, if you ever do get a little stumped. It's the kind of game to play when you want to relax for a bit, and it does a great job at doing that. Since Storm has short levels, it's easy to just play this game on-and-off.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Review

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, what a name. It's slightly misleading though, since the game is entirely about one adventure. Never-the-less, it's got all the gun-slinging and sword-swinging action you would expect of something Van Helsing. This time, we're off to save Borgovia from some mad scientists! The big question is how much fun the journey is, and the answer is a lot of fun!

Dust: An Elysian Tail Coming to PC

If you haven't already heard, Dust: An Elysian Tail is coming to PC! After the great success it found on XBLA, Dust is coming to PC through Steam on the recently announced date of May 24, just a week from now. With the PC release comes updates and patches to the game, and a full-fledged set of graphic options. This beautifully animated game is definitely going to be on my mind as I wait in anticipation of the PC release.

In this new and improved Anomaly by 11 Bit Studios, everything has seen an upgrade in this new release, from graphics to gameplay. This is a great game that needs a little thinking and planning to get to your goals.

Sanctum 2 Review

Sanctum 2 is the sequel to indie tower defense game Sanctum, which mixed tower defense and FPS. All aspects have been improved, and the great feeling you get destroying the lumes (Sanctum's waves of enemies) is still there. If you like shooting stuff, and you enjoy tower defense games, then you'll definitely want to check Sanctum 2 out!

Gnomoria Preview

Gnomoria is a complex civilization building game, based around you ruling over a bunch of gnomes. If you've ever played Dwarf Fortress, think of something similar to that, but not as complex, and with a streamlined and easy-to-use GUI. It's got some interesting mechanics to it, and definitely a lot of fun.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 Review

Ever thought about being a surgeon? Well, here's your chance to give it a shot! Surgeon Simulator 2013, by Bossa Studios, sounds pretty intimidating, but is in fact a humorous game. Clumsily smash your patient's rib cage apart and messily cut out his heart with a pair of scissors wielded in your shaky hands.

Receiver Review

Receiver is the result of a 7-day FPS challenge done by Wolfire Games. All you have is your Colt 1191 A1 (and with the most recent updates as of this post, a S&W Model 10 revolver or a Glock 17) and an audio cassette player. A game that focuses on the gun, Receiver gives you full control over it, from the safety to the hammer to the trigger. As far as I know, it's the first game to give the player so much control over all faculties of the gun they wield.

Retro/Grade Review

Retro/Grade is a rhythm game, that looks like a shoot'em up going backwards on the time continuum. Created by 24 Caret Games, the music featured in this indie game is all completely hand-crafted for Retro/Grade. It's an interesting idea for a rhythm game, but how does it play out?

Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine is an indie game by Pocket Watch Games. It's a 4-player heist game that you can play with other people, while still being immensely exciting on your own. If you're looking for a crazy and chaotic party, then Monaco will definitely excite you! With you and 3 other players, everything is happening all over the place, and depending on your team's style, you can have a perfect crime, or end up with a frantic scramble to your goal.

Containment: The Zombie Puzzler Review

Containment: The Zombie Puzzler is a simple, little, casual indie game that reminds me a little bit of Bejeweled. Not nearly as polished, but has a few unique quirks to it. These cool little features just aren't enough to make this game worth your time.
