Thoughts on The Last of Us
The Last of Us released on the 14th, so after picking it up I got to playing this game, and so far I've been having an awesome time! The Last of Us is an action-adventure survival horror game developed by Naughty Dog for the PS3. The game tells the tale of a man traveling cross-country to smuggle a girl to a group called the Fireflies.
The game is set in an apocalyptic world filled with zombies all over. It's nothing new, but the way this game has presented it is impressive. There is a ton of area of be exploring around, and depending on the difficulty you play on it can be very deprived of any items for you to pick up. The places you go to and walk around are quite varied throughout the game. Lighting has been extremely well done. The dialogue has been extremely well done as well. From idle chatter to full conversations this game has managed to make characters sound extremely convincing and life-like.
The gameplay has been amazing, the AI is really quite smart in this game. The way your enemies act and react to you keeps you on your toes all the time. When they realize you've got a gun they take a more careful approach than before they realize that. They'll wait for you to pop your head out before unloading rounds at you, unlike some other games. Whenever they have a numbers advantage your enemies always make use of it, flanking you from as many sides as they can.
My conclusion is that this game is amazing, probably the Game of the Year as I can't see anything else popping up to be able to surpass this game. The Last of Us is so good that I managed to play all night and only just realized it when the sun finally came up. If you haven't already gotten The Last of Us, I suggest you grab it as soon as you can!

Last of us bring up action-adventure to whole new level. I can't play uncharted after beating this game.
